Founded in 1937 by Ed Morey, who sought to provide commercial-quality smoked fish products for the upper Midwestern United States. Over time, the distribution division grew to become one of the largest seafood distributors in the Upper Midwest. Over the last decade, Morey’s has evolved from a small niche manufacturer and distribution business to a national leader in the development of premium restaurant quality “ready-to-cook” seafood products for the North American consumer. All manufacturing takes place at the company owned manufacturing plant in Motley, MN. Morey’s employs approximately 225 people.
